Mommy Moments-Cheerios in unnatural places

I was walking back to Savannah's room to put a toy away and I touched my stomach with my hand and I felt something there....I look down and I seriously found a cheerio in my belly button. I am not even joking! One of those two little monkeys must have been sharing and because my shirt was tucked in it just saved it in that place for me.

You can't make this stuff up....: )

Sister's Conference

It was another successful Sister's Conference!! Unfortunately I didn't remember to get pictures with everyone here and only snatched up a few at the end...

These are the handouts from everyone, I always make a folder with the theme on it to put all the papers in.
We learned how to make these covered button earrings! They were really easy and turned out really cute!
This is my table layout with the programs and handouts for them.
Jacque taught us how to make the most delicious dessert crepes EVER! We tried Lemon Butter Sugar Crepe(don't let the ingredients throw you off, it was so good!) Almond Cream with Raspberry (I ate the leftover almond cream right out of the bag!) and Nutella and Banana...can't go wrong there!! They were so good and Glenn was happy he made it back with Savvy in time to eat some too!!
This is the aftermath...

We started off with a hymn, prayer..you know the usual. Kensie shared with us two quotes that mean a lot to her personally. Press Forward 2 Nephi 31:20 is the motto she and her husband, Mitch, chose for their family. She also shared an amazing quote from Elder Holland teaching us that although sometimes people in our lives fail us, the love of Jesus Christ never will! ***Kelli shared with us the summary of The Secret Journal of Brett Colton by Kay Lynn Magnum. It was a book that had inspired her in high school and I am sure it will inspire all of us as we read it!***
I asked Katie to share with us her favorite recipe and she chose Pepperoni Chicken(if it connected to pizza you can never go wrong....that is my personal motto...haha) But the really fun part was the recipe card she made for us was not decorated with cute paper but with cute duct tape!! So creative. ***I don't know how many of you already know Merrick White, if you are on Pinterest and you ever look at DIY fashion then you have probably seen her. She has a fashion blog that mainly deals with repurposing clothing and do it yourself sewing projects! I love her blog because she really does put outfits together that the average girl would wear!! Check out her blog www.merricksart.blogspot.com! She shared with us 10 ideas for Fashion Motivation and showed us some pieces that she had altered and how to wear them! ***
We did our earrings next. It was a pretty quick craft but really fun! ***Then Candice gave us a copy of the words to Bruno Mars' song Just The Way You Are. She talked about the struggles she had with a big surgery she had to have and the effects it had on her body and the feelings she has as her wonderful husband compliments her and as the song says "I know when I compliment her she won't believe me" and coming to know that she really is beautiful..just the way she is. Everyone loved that she chose a song that was on the radio everyday that we may not have taken the words to heart all the way yet.***Ali had our next assignment...and everyone was glad Ali had it and not them! Two weeks ago I asked her to pick a goal, any goal, to accomplish by Sister's Conference and then talk about it and talk about goals for a few minutes. She shared with us a handout that said "today-what did I do for MY MIND? MY BODY? MY SPIRIT? MY RELATIONSHIPS MY CREATIVITY AND PASSION?" She talked about setting goals to strengthen all parts of your life and not letting yourself get wrapped up in just one thing. She focused on building relationships in her family and talked about calling specific members in her family just to see how they were doing. She also gave us a handout with several quotes about goals and what particular one stuck out to me "Set your goals-without goals you can't measure your progress. But don't become frustrated if the victories don't come quickly or easily. Remind yourself that striving can be more important than arriving..." Marvin J Ashton. ***Every Conference I have a lesson on Seeing Ourselves As Daughters of God and not as the World Sees Us. The reason I have this lesson every time is because I think Satan's number one weapon against women is telling us we are ugly and imperfect and shoving in our faces anything that he thinks is not as good as someone else. Satan really wants us to devalue ourselves and think, yeah every woman is wonderful and a beautiful daughter of God, except me....Jacque is an amazing, amazing teacher (even though she NEVER believes it either. I am really not just saying that either...she really is one of the best teachers I have ever seen!) She started with giving us an ugly piece of paper with our names mispelled on it and had us go around and say something that Satan tries to tell us as we rip and tear or smash the paper. She then talked about how God sees us and gave us a beautifully embossed white paper with our names on it.*** I briefly talked about the theme which was D&C 58:27-28 For the power is in YOU. I testified that we are given the opportunity to do big things, great things, we just need to choose to do it and ask Heavenly Father for His help. We can think of our talents and something we would love to do to bless others. Our spheres of influence will grow as we are faithful with the stewards we have and seek to serve others! *** We ended with a closing prayer and song, As Sister's in Zion, and then had our dessert lesson and enjoyed the fruits(we had fruit...: ) ) of Jacque's labor(she filled in for someone who couldn't make it last minute) It was a wonderful day and what an awesome way to start Saturday!! I am grateful to all the sisters who were a part of our Sister's Conference for sharing their time, testimonies, and talents.

Love the looks!

A REAL MAN--I have a hammer and a remote....what more do I need?
Savannah is ready for her date with her daddy! She wouldn't pose for it though and so I had to
be tricky about it.... Glenn took Savvy on a Daddy-Daughter Date while I had Sister's Conference. On Savannah's date with her dad they went to Denny's for breakfast and then he took her to the park and they looked for all the doggies playing there and ran around together. they had so much fun!! Savvy sure loves her Dad!!!

I made this scrapbook tree for decoration for my upcoming Sister's Conference. It actually looks a lot better in person too. I was pretty excited for how it turned out!

Little Moments

Wow, right?!!!
She is so cute, she is using a block as a phone
Savannah decided to put her bowl of yogurt on her head after she finished eating. I was not happy we had to go in for our second bath that day and the doctor said my kids should only have baths every other day because of their eczema. All well sometimes these things happen.
We were all playing ball together. It was so fun! I really love playing with my kids!
Oh man he is so handsome! and there is Rover in the background!!

Savannah started holding her hands out and doing a half yell-half singing thing I was trying to catch it but she just kept telling me to watch in the video instead...that by itself was pretty funny.

Judah turns One Years Old

This is the cake I made for Judah

This is the aftermath : ) He did a good job!!

Olivia was asking about how the cake was made and when I explained that I used chocolate mold she became very concerned having never heard of chocolate mold(fungus) but was relieved to learn the other meaning of the word mold : )

Dad was sneaking some of Judah's cake all night! Judah was pretty mellow although he enjoyed the cake I think he would have rather been in bed.

Letting Loose

I think everyone should take the time to close all the blinds and put some dancing music on and just let loose!
Savvy and I had a ton of fun right before naptime today we jammed out to

Lights by Ellie Goulding
Love You Like a Love Song by Selena Gomez and the Scene
Love Song Sara Barielles
Dancing Crazy by Miranda Cosgrove

Savannah was loving it and you know what?...So was I!! Judah even starting walking around and clapping every once in a while.
Sometimes you just have to let go of how goofy you look and enjoy yourself!

Little Moments

Glenn was doing P90X and Savannah came over and just sat on him right in the middle of it. It was so cute and funny.
then she laid down by him and started lifting her legs with him. Oh man so precious!
I have no idea what face Savvy is making : ) but they each had barking puppies and they were loving it!!!

Sister's Conference

This is the theme I came up with for my last Sister's Conference. I love it so much I think it has just become the theme behind Sister's Conference in general. I really love this scripture but I never had the phrase "The Power is in Them" stand out to me before...the power really is in us to decide if we want to do great things. If we have the desire God will give us the ability! We don't need to be assigned by someone to try to make a difference for the better. May we all take an opportunity to do something new to bless others.

More Little Stories

Judah is our little walker now but sometimes he still crawls. It makes me laugh every time when he grabs his sippy and holds it in his mouth with his teeth and starts crawling off somewhere with the sippy wagging back and forth.

Yesterday Judah was having a really cranky day. Glenn and I had had about enough by around 6 pm and were sitting in the couch in front of where he was sitting. He was just fussing and whining a bit when all of the sudden he just gave an exasperated look and fell backwords. It was hilarious, he didn't brace himself or anything. It was really funny.

Sacrament was a little crazy yesterday....to start with I was reaching the bread over to Glenn when Savannah puts her hand in the tray and as I am whispering "Make sure she only takes one" Savannah starts scooping up a bunch of pieces. Glenn tried to get as many out of her hands before she pulled away but she did make it out with 3 pieces. The two couples behind us were laughing pretty hard. Then I had somehow forgot to get Judah's bottles in the bag and Judah was being so awful that Glenn took him home and got the bottles and then came back. but while he was gone Savannah was standing in between the pews just drawing when all of the sudden she bends over in half and I hear the wonderful noise of why she was bending in half. So I grabbed the diaper and wipes and headed to the bathroom to find out that it ended up all over her skirt. We get her all cleaned up and head back to the chapel with just a shirt, diaper, and shoes. (we had cleaned the skirt but now it was wet and so it needed to dry) Glenn gets back and it is time to drop off Savannah to nursery, but there was no nursery leader yet. About 10 minutes later we got that all taken care of and I went home quickly to grab Savannah a new skirt because Glenn was afraid she would get made fun of(in a nursery room with a bunch of other 2 year olds(and younger). (sometimes there is no arguing with him and I just have to go with it. : ) ) So we got her a new skirt and were finally able to sit down and listen to Sunday School(sort of...we still had Judah who just wants to get into trouble : ) )

The Inside Out

The Lord works from the inside out. The world works from the outside in. The world would take people out of the slums. Christ takes the slums out of the people, and then they take themselves out of the slums.

(Ezra Taft Benson, Conference Report, October 1985, pp. 5-6)
We were waiting for Grammy and Papa Robbins to come for a short visit, and she would not look at me she was too focused on her Tinker Bell movie. When it was time for Grammy and Papa to leave Savannah had the biggest puppy dog face I have ever seen her have! It was so sad! But at least my parents know they are loved!
Grammy Gavin got this for Judah for Christmas and he LOVES it!
He knows exactly what to do : )

Vegas Fun

This is Gigi. She and Peppy count the days until Savannah leaves when we visit!
This is Christmas Eve. It was such a fun night! (Judah was already asleep)
Look at this handsome boy!
A new type of face mask-Strawberry Yogurt...so gross

Robbins Family Christmas Party

We hosted a mini Robbins' Christmas party at our place this year because we were spending Christmas in Vegas.
My dad played the songs on the keyboard but he also brought his guitar and played Silver bells and Silent Night on that while we sang along.
Josh and Anne had Glenn's name this year and they were so excited to use the newspaper clippings from the BYU vs Utah game, where sadly BYU lost, so they were very creative with their wrapping. : ) It was funny. Glenn and I are BIG BYU fans and the rest of my family are BIG UTE fans...a little bit of a sore spot : )
