Story Time

Savvy Stories
Savvy came in the room carrying something really heavy and said matter-of-factly, "I'm Brave."
Savvy drew a picture and told us it was a "Dinosaurus"
Savvy calls a Polar Bear a Pony Bear. It is really cute
Savvy came into the room where Glenn was and told him, "Judah is eating chopsticks" Glenn was a little confused at it and told her to bring what Judah had to him. She comes running in with a chapstick.....that made a lot more sense : )
Savvy sometimes gets after Judah and yells at him, "Judah, stop maked-a-mess!"
Savvy loves to lay down by me and do her "exraycises"..she works really hard too.

Judah Stories
Judah was climbing on top of a box and saw his shadow on the wall. He thought it was really cool and did a strongman pose flexing his muscles and growled. (and on the wall, they looked quite large ; ))
Judah climbed on my lap with a book a few days ago....I think this is a miracle haha....it used to seem like I was torturing him when I tried to read him a book. Kids really do just have their own personalities and their own timing.
Judah's favorite words to say are "Thank you" and "Hi There!" He has the cutest little voice!
We have to limit him ever watching Beauty and the Beast and Lion King because he automatically becomes the main character and it gets a little crazy!
Judah can carry a ten pound weight from our bedroom closet out to our living room. Glenn and I were doing crunches and he thought he would be helpful and bring me my weight. Judah weighs 30 pounds right now so that is quite impressive.

Halloween Switcharoo

Savvy was supposed to be Katniss from Hunger Games and Judah was supposed to be Batman. Well, Judah would not wear ANY part of his costume...so we left him in all black and just gave him the bow and arrow set and let Savvy be the Batman! She has dangly earrings, a princess trick or treat bag, and sparkly silver shoes....She is the cutest batman I have ever seen! : ) She actually really loved being batman! It was a fun night at our ward party! We were able to have Glenn's coworker Thomas and his wife Angie and their adorable daughter named Vita! I wish I had gotten a picture of their costumes! They were the scarecrow, the cowardly lion, and Dorothy. They looked amazing!

Little Friends

I made these for Savvy and Judah to play with, they loved them! Aunt Kim says they are ugly...what is she talking about? lol

Preschool Letter H

This week in Preschool we learned about the letter H.

We went Letter H fishing and talked about words that start with the letter H. We made a leaf graph to work on our math skills. We made homemade gummy fruit snacks for snack time. We read The Dot Book by Peter Reynolds and then made our own "dot" paintings. We sang the Phonic Song http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=saF3-f0XWAY&list=PL1F93C67B4CA81D04 We like Phonics, Phonics 2, and Phonics 3 a lot! The Little Old Lade Who Was Not Afraid Of Anything.
On Tuesday we did a letter match up game, matching lower case letters to upper case letters. They all did a great job! We used bandaids on our stuffed animals and reviewed preposition words like "in between" "underneath" "above' "below" and so on.  We also had a lot of fun finger painting with scented finger paints.(sorry Abby, some got on Miles sleeve, but they are washable) We measured our height on a height chart and then measured our bodies on a paper and measured how many objects long our bodies are.

This week was a lot of fun! Thank you guys for being so good and being excited to learn!

Grammy and Papa visit -Gilcrease Orchard

"Spent the weekend visiting Chrissy's family in Vegas. Tons of fun with the kiddies. Went to a farm, they did the hay maze, but instead of doing the maze all the kids there just really loved walking on top of the hay, it was fun to see that a bunch of kids took it to a more fun level. Went swimming and laying in the warm sun at Red Rock. Last of the warm summer days for us. Had a wonderful time." Alicia Robbins (Grammy)

Grammy and Papa came to visit this weekend. They made it in time on Friday to go to Savvy's tennis lesson. We were then able to go to a burger and shake place called Steak and Shake in the South Pointe Casino. It was fun!
Saturday morning, we sadly had to drop Glenn off at work but the rest of us went to the Gilcrease Orchard. Savvy and Judah loved playing in the hay maze, but maybe I should more accurately say they loved playing ON the haymaze : )
Then we let them run down an orchard path...they loved just being able to run and run and run!

Judah loved having Papa jump him from one haybale to another! He was giggling so much!
