Card Swap

My friend Annelise recently asked if I wanted to join her and a little group in doing a Card Swap. In our group we have 6 people, so we each make one type of card but 6 copies...one for yourself and then 5 to swap with the others and you end up with 6 really cute cards a month to add to your collection. This is the card I put together for this month, I hope it will be good enough compared to the others in the group.....we will see. When I get all the cards I will post pictures of all the cute ones I received.

Judah Food

Judah will nod his head up and down when I feed him something that he likes, it is so cute but sometimes he does it when I am trying to put more of it in his mouth and it ends up on his nose or forehead and he looks at me like..."Why did you put food on my face Mom...?"

Getting So Big

My sweet little Savvy is getting older! She looks so big with her hair just down(it is finally long enough to go behind her ear) She doesn't look like a baby anymore, I am not really sad. I am excited. I love that she is learning things and I think she looks more beautiful everyday! I just love her.

Savvy Girl
Loves oranges, strawberries, and bananas but not mango.
Loves playing outside and going ANYWHERE with Mommy.
Loves hugging, kissing, and tickling Judah but does tell him "Stop It" often when she doesn't like something he is doing.
Loves her squeaky shoes but likes going barefoot sometimes.
Loves playing with the keyboard on the computer even though she gets in trouble.
Loves Beauty and the Beast, Tangled, and Lion King.
Loves bath time but not getting her hair rinsed out.
Loves getting her hair blown dry as long as she gets to play with the bottles on the counter.

Loves playing in the corner of her room behind her crib where she feels like it is a secret place of hers.

Loves trying new adventures, she really isn't afraid of anything yet.

Reading books together
This is Savvy saying "Bye, See ya" because I was standing in the doorway and she felt like it was time for me to leave. She does this to me every once in a while, it cracks me up. (and I figured out that she says Bye, See ya because of me. I say both of them together like that when people leave, when I am getting Savannah and Judah to say goodbye too. So funny that she says both too now)

(do you love the plastic earrings? Savvy shakes her head back and forth to feel them hit so she knows they are both still there haha, love that girl)

Confession...

Those who lived with me in West Palm Beach will not be surprised, but
I have to confess that about a week ago I ate an entire batch of cookie dough by myself!
(that makes 24 small cookies) I think I gained 3 lbs because of it haha.

I have not shared this particular information with Glenn yet but I am thinking he would not be especially impressed with me for some reason.....

but you know what...I LOVED EVERY BIT OF THAT COOKIE DOUGH : )

Dresser Top

I was looking at things on Pinterest today and decided that I really wanted to decorate something today. So I got to work. I gathered a bunch of pictures for inspiration and then went through my house finding things to put together. I spray painted the pinecones and I covered the books with papers. Everything else was just hanging around somewhere. and...I know I need curtains, it just isn't happening quite yet.

These are now the color inspirations for my Bedroom. If I could post my whole pinboard too I would : ) There will be more to come, eventually.

Squeaky Shoes

These are Savannah's new squeaky shoes from Grammy Gavin. She loves them!! It has been fun to watch her run in them.
Do you love the headpiece? That went to part of a crown that she pulled the jewels off. She is still happy with it though

Gavin Pumpkin Patch

For Family Home Evening we made our own Pumpkin Patch. It was a lot of fun. We had to help Judah with his later because he was too cranky to stay awake and wait for Glenn to get back from school. Savannah LOVED it, she did take a lick of the glue stick but thankfully decided it didn't taste the same as a sucker. haha

Outside Girl

Savannah LOVES LOVES LOVES the outside! She tries to escape EVERY chance she gets. She just loves it when we take her for walks and when we take her to the swings. She was extra cranky Sunday evening so I got her bundled up enough(it was still in the 60's, so it wasn't too cold) and we went for a walk looking at the pumpkins around the neighborhood and then we came back to walk around the grass area in front of our yard. She had so much fun. I took her to the window and had her knock on it to see her dad and he came over and played peek-a-boo with her through the window. It was a lot of fun!

I love how she went to our neighbors to open their door and then remembered to knock. so cute

Fun Loving Judah

Savannah is so very irritated in these pictures. She has been trying to pull the blanket away from Judah. Judah just thinks they are having all kinds of fun together! : )

Circle Chandelier(sort of)

I saw this idea on pinterest and decided to give it a try. I have a circle cutter and so I used scrapbook paper and threw it all together for Savannah's room. It isn't perfect but I think I still like it.

Relief Society Activity

For Relief Society we kicked off reading the Book of Mormon by the end of the year. We made these cute pocket Book of Mormon to start it off with. It was a fun activity. I am excited to read it together as a Relief Society!

Halloween Cruise on the Provo River

We all found a KSL deal with Groupon to go on a little Halloween Cruise on the Provo River. It was a ton of fun! The kids did amazingly great especially for having to wear a life jacket. It was a cute little activity and we were glad our whole family could come!!

Hast thou considered my servant...

Job 1:6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan came also among them.

1:8 And the Lord said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil?

I know most of you are very familiar with the above quote and with the story of Job, but I just wanted to talk about it a little today. The quote really makes me laugh and smile, I think, "yeah, I want to be the kind of person that frustrates Satan." I often think about the story of Job and the idea of what if God and Satan were having this same conversation now...... I want to be the type of person that God can say "Hast thou considered my servant, Chrissy Gavin?"
I wish to be the person that can be an example of going through the trials I have been given faithfully and being the kind of person that is an example of righteousness. I fall short so often but I try not to get discouraged and I keep hoping one day I will be the kind of woman that the Lord can say has become upright and perfect.
